CHILDREN'S TRAUMA HEALING

One Session. One Child. A First Step Toward Healing.

Every day, children carry fear, grief, and confusion they don't have words for. For an average cost of just $1.80, you can sponsor a trauma-informed art and emotional-healing session that gives one at-risk child a safe space to feel, express, and be seen.

What Your $1.80 Makes Possible

Your $1.80 is not just a number. It creates a real, human experience for a child who may never have had a safe place to talk about what they've been through.

Guided Healing Session (60–90 minutes)

A professionally facilitated session where children are gently guided through art, reflection, and emotion-focused conversation in a safe, structured environment.

Creative Tools & Art Supplies

Canvas or quality paper, paints, brushes, and all materials are provided—so every child, regardless of their situation, can participate fully at no cost.

Safe Group Connection

Children create alongside peers, practice putting feelings into words, and experience the relief of knowing they are not alone in what they feel.

First Steps Toward Lasting Resilience

One session does not "fix" a lifetime of pain, but it can be the first moment of safety—a powerful step toward emotional regulation, self-awareness, and hope.

How Can One Session Cost Just $1.80?

It sounds almost impossible—real trauma-informed support for less than a cup of coffee. Here's how we make it work:

  • We partner with local facilitators and organizations around the world, so we don't carry heavy facility costs for every session.
  • Sessions are often held in small groups, allowing one trained facilitator to support multiple children at once.
  • We purchase art supplies in bulk, keeping per-child costs very low.
  • Larger donors and grants help cover platform, training, and infrastructure, so your $1.80 can go directly toward frontline healing work.

The result: for just $1.80, you can sponsor a session that gives a child real tools, real support, and a real experience of being seen.

Healing Trauma Through Art—Globally

The Darash Ahava Foundation works with at-risk children in the United States and around the world. Through our signature Brushstrokes of Emotion program, we provide trauma-informed emotional wellness sessions that help children:

  • Express feelings they've never been able to say out loud
  • Transform fear, grief, and anger into color, shape, and story
  • Experience gentle guidance from trained facilitators who truly care
  • Build the early foundations of resilience, self-worth, and hope
Every child deserves a safe space to heal.

Your $1.80 makes that possible—one session, one child, one first step toward a different future.

Introducing Brushstrokes of Emotion

Brushstrokes of Emotion combines creative expression, guided meditation, and safe group sharing to help participants explore their inner world, release stored emotions, and experience authentic connection. Each session follows a proven 4-step framework designed with trauma-informed principles.

1

Begin Together

Set a shared theme, create ground rules of safety, and invite each child into a space where all feelings are welcome.

2

Create & Express

Use painting and creative tools to bring emotions from the inside to the outside—onto canvas, where they can be seen and explored.

3

Discover & Reflect

Look at the artwork together, name feelings, and sometimes co-create a short group poem or narrative that honors what emerged.

4

Share & Connect

Guided reflection using tools like the Wheel of Emotions, helping children connect words, colors, and sensations in a way that builds lasting emotional language.
